Unacceptable Items
We want, need, and depend on your donations, but we are unable to accept items our customers will not buy, cannot be repaired, do not meet current fire and safety codes, or exceed current inventory levels. The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Sharehouse, and Ann Arbor PTO may accept some items that we cannot.
Appliances (except new, in box):
Compactors, Freezers, Garbage Disposals, Humidifiers, Refrigerators Less than 8 cu ft, Sinks, Stoves, Washers, Dryers
Automotive (except new & in box):
Auto parts, car top carriers, wheels, hub caps, tires
Building Materials (of any type)
Carpets/Pads:
Worn or dirty
Chemicals/Cleaning Solutions
Clothing:
Stained or dirty (should be washed)
Cosmetics:

Damaged or Incomplete Items
Electronics:
Computers more than 7 yrs old, CRT TVs or monitors, fax machines, TV-radio consoles, Computer printers more than 5 years old.
Open food
Furnishings:
Blinds and blind hardware, drapery hardware
Furniture:
Bed springs with exposed metal, furniture with worn, ripped or stained upholstery, particle board entertainment centers, mattresses with stains, metal office desks
Infant/Baby Equipment:
Booster seats, car seats, cribs with drop sides
Lights/Lamps:
Wall or ceiling mounted
Medical Items:
Medicines, opened medical products, prescription medical items, c-pap equipment
Musical Instruments:
Organs, Pianos
Paints/Solvents/Oils:
Automotive fluids/oils, opened paint cans, alcohol, turpentine, varnish
Sporting Goods:
Non-metallic weights. Pistols, Shotguns or Rifles.
