Savvy shoppers in the area already know we are the best place to buy anything you may need, from sports and exercise equipment to household furniture, art, office equipment, appliances, toys, clothing, and pet supplies.

The clothing selection includes men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing items, all in good condition. We also have a complete selection of coats, purses, belts, and accessories, making it easy to find the clothes for any event.

All of the items we sell are donated. Some are new, and some are gently used. With exceptional prices on used appliances for sale, office furniture for sale, as well as clothing and household necessities, we are the perfect place to shop.

In addition to getting exceptional deals on items you need for the home or work, your purchases give back to the community. Proceeds from all of the sales at the Kiwanis Thrift Sale are used for scholarships, gifts, and support of children and families in our own community.

ABOUT KIWANIS THRIFT SALE

The Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor began raising money through an annual rummage thrift sale in 1927. Proceeds from the sale are returned to the community through grants, scholarships, and gifts. In the early years the Kiwanis rummage sales were held mostly at the National Guard Armory in downtown Ann Arbor several times each year until 1968. Over the years the rummage sale name changed to the Kiwanis Thrift Sale. In 1966 we bought a building located at 200 S. First St., at the corner of First and Washington Streets, for club activities and the Kiwanis Thrift Sale. In 1990 the Kiwanis Thrift Sale started weekly sale hours on each Saturday 9 to noon. Starting in 2000, we were provided temporary use of two different warehouses in south Ann Arbor to support the growing Kiwanis Thrift Sale. After 50 years downtown Ann Arbor our Kiwanis Thrift Sale needed a larger building and we purchased the current building and property on North Staebler Road in 2014.

In 2017 the Kiwanis downtown Ann Arbor building was sold, and as of January 2019 all Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor activities and its weekly Kiwanis Thrift Sale and warehouse storage moved to its current much larger location at 100 N. Staebler Road at the corner of W. Jackson Road, Ann Arbor. The Kiwanis Thrift Sale at the new Kiwanis Center building is open weekly Fridays and Saturdays 9:00 am -1:00 pm (except holidays) for sales to the public and for drop off of donations from the public, at 100 North Staebler Road, Suite C, Ann Arbor MI 48103. (One mile west of Zeeb Road and one mile east of Baker Road.) (see maps).
